About Dr. Katie Barbaccia, ND
My Passion
I work with high-achieving women who are exhausted, overwhelmed, and frustrated by how hard they’ve been trying to feel better, without lasting results.
Many of the women I support are just like myself. They are capable, thoughtful, and deeply self-aware. On the outside, they’re functioning, but on the inside, they’re completely depleted. They find that "rest" doesn’t restore them. Mindset work helps, but only to a point. And pushing harder usually makes things worse.
My work is about helping women understand what their bodies are actually asking for, so energy, focus, and clarity can return in a way that’s sustainable.Â
Training and Experience
I am a licensed naturopathic doctor with advanced training in women’s health, chronic fatigue, and stress-related physiology.
My work is evidence-informed and rooted in an understanding of how the nervous system, endocrine system, and lived experience intersect. I draw from both my clinical training and years of working closely with women navigating burnout, chronic stress, and complex health patterns.
In addition to my practice stateside, I volunteer in Belize on a yearly basis to provide medical care to remote villages throughout the country.
My Approach to Burnout and Energy
I don’t view burnout as a personal failure or a lack of discipline.
In my experience, burnout is a capacity issue. It's rooted in nervous system overload, chronic stress adaptation, and physiology that hasn’t felt safe enough to fully recover.
This is why simply “doing less,” thinking more positively, or taking time off often doesn’t fix the problem.
My approach is body-first and systems-based. We focus on nervous system regulation, body literacy, and rebuilding capacity in a way that works with your biology rather than against it. The goal being to create the conditions where your body can restore energy and resilience over time.
Curious Where to Start?
If this perspective resonates, a good place to begin is my free training on the Energy Reclamation Method, where I walk through why burnout persists — and how to recover without putting your life on hold.
