The Gap Between "Fine on Paper" and Actually Feeling Better

Jun 04, 2026

Most people don't come to me first.

They come to me after.

After the physical where everything came back "normal." After the specialist who ran the panel, glanced at it, and told you it looked fine. After you did exactly what you were told to do, took the medication, cleaned up the diet, walked the steps, checked every box on the list, and you still find yourself sitting in the car in the parking lot afterward, quietly wondering why you don't feel any better.

You know this version of yourself.

Maybe you're managing your blood pressure. Maybe you're watching your blood sugar creep up year over year and being told to "keep an eye on it." On paper, you're doing everything right. But "right" is a number on a chart. It isn't the heaviness that's there the second you open your eyes. It isn't the wall you hit every afternoon at 2pm. It isn't the way you've quietly started building your whole life around how depleted you already expect to feel by the end of it.

That gap, between what your labs say and how you actually feel, is exactly where I sit.

What I said on the podcast

I got into this recently on Finding My Frequency with Karen Cringoli, when she asked me a deceptively simple question: who actually ends up seeking you out?

The honest answer is that most of the people I work with are already being seen by a medical doctor. They've gone all the way down the standard-of-care path. They've done everything that protocol has to offer. And they're still not feeling well. Still not getting the result they were promised would be on the other side of doing it all correctly.

That's not a failure of medicine. And it is not a failure of yours.

Standard care is built to do one thing extraordinarily well: catch what's measurable, name what's dangerous, and intervene when a number crosses a line. I'm genuinely grateful for it. It saves lives, including the lives of the people who later land in my care. But there's an entire layer it was never designed to touch. The layer where you're technically fine and functionally exhausted. Where nothing is "wrong" enough to treat, but nothing feels the way it's supposed to either.

Alongside, not instead of

This is the part I want you to actually hear, because the wellness world loves to pit itself against conventional medicine and that's never been my position.

I don't work instead of your doctor. I work alongside them.

When your medical team has done their job, when you've reached the end of what the algorithm can offer and you're still not where you want to be, my work is to take what's already in motion and address the thing no one has been looking at. Not to override your care. To work synergistically with it, so the outcome you've been chasing (lower blood pressure, steadier blood sugar, an afternoon that doesn't flatten you) finally has a chance to land.

Because here's what I've watched happen hundreds of times: the medication is doing its part, the diet is dialed in, the labs are improving on paper, and the person is still miserable in their own body. That's not a sign you need to try harder. It's a sign there's a layer underneath the numbers that hasn't been touched yet.

You've probably already tried to fix it yourself

Most of the women who find me are not starting from zero. You've tried to close that gap on your own.

You've bought the supplements: the cabinet full of them, the $200 months. You've done the elimination diet, the gut protocol, the cold plunge, the magnesium. You've read the burnout books and listened to the podcasts and understood every word of it intellectually, and still couldn't get your own body to change the pattern. And every time one more thing doesn't work, you file away a little more evidence that the problem must be you.

It isn't you.

You can't supplement your way out of a body that's been running in survival mode for years. You can't optimize on top of a foundation that's depleted. More inputs don't help when your system has lost the ability to receive them. You don't have an information problem. You have everything you'd ever need to know already. You have an embodiment problem. Your body is producing these symptoms not because it's broken, but because it's been screaming for attention you've been trained to override.

What it looks like on the other side

Imagine waking up and your first thought isn't dread. You move through your morning without bargaining with your own body to get out of bed. You make it to the end of the workday with something left over. Your kid asks you to do something after dinner and you say yes, and mean it, instead of the half-there yes from the couch. At 8pm you realize you haven't thought about your health in hours, because your body finally feels like somewhere you live, not something you're constantly trying to fix.

That's not a fantasy reserved for people with better genetics or more willpower. It's what becomes possible when you stop chasing the symptoms and start resolving the pattern underneath them.

This is the work

This is exactly what we do inside the Energy Reclamation Method. It's for the woman who has done everything right, who is already getting good medical care, and who is done accepting "your numbers are normal" as the final word on how she gets to feel.

If that's you, I'd love for you to hear the full conversation.
